TEN STRINGS AND A GOAT SKIN SECURES INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES
Ten Strings And A Goat Skin are ecstatic with recent invitations to join the rosters of premiere folk/trad music agencies in Switzerland, France, the United States and the United Kingdom.
In Switzerland, Pas Mal Bien, a premiere music agency has requested the group join its roster which consistently tours top Acadian and Franco Canadian artist. Ulrich Schuwey, the agency director has been extremely supportive of the group after having seen them several times and wishes to introduce the group to new markets throughout Switzerland Rue Haute Productions a strong artist representation agency in France has brought the trio on board and is already touring the group several times in 2014 with further opportunities slated for 2015. The agency provides a strong commitment to touring Canadian artist throughout France. The powerhouse US agency Myriad, (formally called TG2 Artists) is home to many dynamic and creative touring legends of music including Maura O’Connell, Paul Brady, Mary Black, the Duhks, the Celtic super group Solas as well as many others in this international collective. Ten strings is thrilled to share a roster with such notable talents. They will roll out touring for the group in early 2015. Finally, an invitation has been extended from Adastra Music, Britain’s foremost agency for folk, roots, acoustic and world music and is home to amazing artist including Danu, Colin Hay, Patrick Street, Quebec’s Vent Du Nord and Steve Forbert. Several major festivals in the UK are already in the works from Adastra in the summer of 2015. “We are thrilled to be represented at this level in Switzerland, France, the US and the UK and to be among so many of our musical heroes is just amazing”, says Caleb Gallant. “We cannot wait to hit the road, meet new people, and discover what’s out there. This is going to be an amazing adventure”. The group has just recently returned from Milwaukee’s Summerfest, the music festival touted as the worlds largest, where they were voted as fans choice on the Emerging Artist stage, winning a prize of over $2000 dollars in musical equipment. With an extensive touring schedule this summer, including many dates in the United States and Europe it seems that Ten Strings And A Goat Skin will continue to venture ever further afield.
