And didn’t they bring home an ECMA!
Prince Edward Island’s bilingual trad/fusion trio, Ten Strings And A Goat Skin, recent recipients of the 2015 ECMA’s award for World Music Recording of the Year, are eager to begin a jam packed season of festival touring throughout Canada, the US and Europe.
Three European tours, in both French and English, will take them to the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Denmark along with many performances throughout the US and Canada, will have them zig-zagging across the Atlantic Ocean several times this summer.
“Our performance dates on PEI and in the Maritimes will be pretty limited this summer,”says Caleb Gallant, the band’s percussionist, “ but, we are hugely excited and really fortunate to be able to continue to explore the international festival scene as well as see Canada’s West Coast as well a big chunk of the USA .”
The band’s summer kicks off in high gear at a sold out show at the Island’s music gem, the Trailside Cafe in Mount Stewart, on April 24th. Please check tenstringsandagoatskin.comfor a complete gig list.
